Is this a joke? People should accept personal responsibility for not recognizing what something like Twitter is and move on.
I got a Twitter account out of curiousity and wrote one, fairly minimal thing. Then some creepy person who I have never met and had no idea how they saw my comment responded to it. After that I realized Twitter is gross and anyone who engages in such activity of exposing their selves like that to creepy and other energy only has their self to blame.
Beyond that, the obvious problem is that Twitter is not an open-standard. Its a private company trying to make profit. Even without the aforementioned incident, the way Twitter has tried to market shit at me was disgusting and a total turnoff.
Seriously. Anyone who uses something like Twitter only has their self to blame.
Anyone who respects and values their self would never expose their self like that on Twitter nor anywhere else.
Buddha said “Suffering exists”. He also said there’s a path to transcend it.
Well creepy people and weirdos exist. Its a fact. But there exists a path of transcendence from creepy people, and weirdos which involves common-sense, self-respect, and responsibility. I wouldn’t expect socially-disfunctional greed-induced computer geeks at some startup to recognize nor care about such facts. So who is to blame ultimately?
