Today, the 11-month anniversary of the Japan 3/11 tsunami, I was reading about historical tsunami which is a fascinating subject area. This led me to learn about these mega-enormous landslides called the Storegga Slides which occurred around 8,000 years ago in the area of the North Sea and resulted in the submerging of a huge landmass which once connected Great Britain with the landmass of Europe.
Watching a documentary video of it now.
(hint: Jump to late ep. 2/7 to see a hot, Danish archaeologist with a great tan and no shirt. Jump to ep. 3/7 to see that Mesolithic peoples were avid seafood gatherers. Ep. 6/7 gives speculation on transition from Mesolithic seafood gathering to Neolithic agrarian society.)
