I am trying to get information about traditional japanese door knobs. They are not really door knobs, more like indentations made out of metal and with floral embellishment and used to slide room dividers open and closed.
I put in the search phrase “japanese traditional door knob” (without quotes) and what is the result? Go ahead and try this with Google Images search. All sorts of hits for women licking door knobs. You have to look at these images to see what I mean. Its just weird. Really weird. I don’t just mean weird either, I mean like weird.
I do not even remotely see what the connection between that and, well, anything is. Why cannot the search result just return hits for traditional japanese door knobs instead?
Please tell me I’m hallucinating.
Ok, changing the search phrase to “antique japanese door handle” helped a lot.
Here is an image of what I’m talking about:
Its not really a door knob but almost like a button. Its an indentation that allows one to easily slide a panel. My tansu also has very similar buttons on its sliding doors.
