Right now the government is intending to grant mass amnesty to what it claims are 10 million illegals living in the United States but which more realistically is about 20 million. 2/3 of these illegals are illiterate and do not even have a basic high school diploma.
Because of the nature of the current system they have incentive to come to America and have children. The burden of cost for the social welfare is definitely placed on society. Certain businesses and industries derive great benefit from it. For example it is a boon to restaurants to have an abundant supply of cheap labor. It is a boon to the agrigulture industry, and to the hotel industry where they require low-income workers.
The situation is so bad that there are even illegals who hire illegals. For example illegals run hotels and I’ve seen situations where they were yelling at their workers who were also illegals, yelling at them as if they were animals.
Beyond the illegal border entry there is a rampant immigration fraud and the problem is so pervasive that the government has given up on even trying to deal with the problem. It is a failure of the system which does not have the capacity to handle the vast number of cases of fraud.
It should never be the policy of any government to enact any policy which puts another group above its own citizens. Jobs which were once decently paid such as landscaper, electrician, plumber, etc. have been taken by illegals. There is no question that the price of laber has been driven down and the ability of a vast segment of the legal American population to scrape by and make a living is being methodically destroyed.
It is an outrage that the government is considering this insane act to grant mass amnesty and indicative of a grave failure of leadership.
