Police have arrested a man accused of savagely beating a woman while trying to steal her purse and then attacking another woman who came to her aid last week in downtown San Jose.
Edward Leo Brown Jr., 54, of San Jose, has been booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and felony battery. Brown, who is being held without bail, has a lengthy criminal past of more than 30 cases and if convicted could be subject to a lifetime prison sentence per the state’s Three Strikes Law.

Why, why was this sick monster even out roaming the streets at large to begin with? Once more, ineptitude and negligence have led to blood being spilled and another devastated human life.
Are the authorities really there to support the well-being of people, or to keep law and order so that “the economy” can do well?
