Police responded about 7:05 a.m. to reports that a bike rider had been struck by a vehicle and arrived to find the unresponsive bicyclist lying in the southbound lanes of Paseo Padre. Firefighters were unable to revive the man, later identified by the coroner as Fremont resident… and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
