Things that bug TF out of me

IPv4 and the base 10 number system.

I remember around the time when IPv6 was rolling out and the promise that was made about how better it would be and how despite there being initial inevitable inconvenience and discomfort, it would be so much better.

But here we are in 2024 and I see IPv4 all over the freaking place. I see it as defaults in configurations. I see it in documentation, almost always as the preferred or default over IPv6.

I’m sick of IPv4. We’re at a point where we need to start dunking people’s heads in toilets to get rid of IPv4.

I don’t want to SEE IPv4 anywhere. Git rid of it!

The other thing that is insane is the base 10 number system that Earth has settled on as the standard. Base 10 is unbelievably idiotic. Earth should be using Dozenal. Period.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Dek. El. Do. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ↊ ↋ 10 Is that hard? What time is it? Do. 10. It’s the middle of the day. Noon. The clock is already in dozenal. All that has to be done is to change three symbols on it.

1/3 = 4. 1/4 = 3. 2 x 5 = ↊. ↊ + 1 = ↋. 3/3 = 4/4 = 10.

Seriously, if people can’t adapt to this, WTF is wrong with them?

Oh, and keep changing clocks twice a year.
