How to train to be an expert in brahmanic cultivation

I’ve written multiple times in the past about brahmanic cultivation. Brahmanic cultivation is the most important thing for the individual, for society, and for Earth itself.

People look out at the world and come up with all sorts of different diagnoses about what is wrong. Based on what they see they arrive at different insights into what the causes are behind so many different problems.

But almost never unfortunately does anyone actually touch on the real underlying issue, the ultimate source of disorder, suffering, and chaos plaguing our sad country and our sad world, which is lack of brahmanic cultivation.

Looking at the catastrophic mismanagement of society one has to ask how, given the fact that so many resources are devoted to education, there are actually very few people who actually understand or care about brahmanic cultivation as opposed to just attaining some narrow goal that relates to a degree or a profession.

It is not a given that just because there happens to be education, even what appears to be highly advanced education partaken of by elite members of society, that there will be imparted understanding of brahmanic cultivation.

And I want to stress that I’m speaking not just about brahmanic cultivation, that is about people being brahmanically cultivated, but people being aware of the process of brahmanic cultivation.

Elite universities can crank out researchers and business people. The criminals behind Enron went to Stanford. When you watch science documentaries where they interview people from these elite places, you realize that, with some exceptions, these people are idiots. They may possess in-depth knowledge about a certain topic, but they are by far not the people one wants to run society. Not by far.

There are people who end up with brahmanic cultivation as a result of whatever circumstances existed to enable it to happen, yet there are few people who really know about the process of brahmanic cultivation itself because understanding about that process lies outside the academic.

There may be people who are brahmanically cultivated to one degree or other, yet who don’t really comprehend even that they are brahmanically cultivated or how they are brahmanically cultivated. Understanding of brahmanic cultivation is outside of actually being brahmanically cultivated, and it definitely stands outside of academia and what is referred to as education, even though education is itself involved in the process of brahmanic cultivation.

A society in which brahmanic cultivation is damaged is a society which is damaged, fundamentally. A world, a planet on which brahmanic cultivation is damaged is a damaged planet. It is a place of suffering, brutality, and enslavement. It is a planet which has not flourished, but one which has failed.

The process of brahmanic cultivation is very similar to the process of enlightenment of a human being. Just as a human is a being that extends from the most base physical to the most esoteric spiritual planes, so does the process of brahmanic cultivation.

That process does not skip things because they are inconvenient or unpleasant. Nor does it involve the pursuit of some things that are cool or in while neglecting others which are not.

Individuals and entire societies may come up with elaborate lies about it. They may make false claims or promote false beliefs about the process, yet they will never change brahmanic cultivation, which is grounded in reality and in truth.

Just as there are indelible truths to a physical being such as a human and to societies which humans create, there are truths to brahmanic cultivation.

To the extent that the pursuit of an individual or a society accords with brahmanic cultivation, it will lead to a better state, to less suffering, to more wholesomeness.

I once met a philosophy professor who tried to claim that the term “wholesomeness” or “holistic” is mumbo jumbo. Wholesomeness is the polar opposite of suffering, disorder, and loss of control. It does not mean that there is necessarily no suffering in a state of wholesomeness, but rather less of it. It does not mean that there is no chaos nor lack of control, but rather less of them.

One aspect of wholesomeness is resilience. When an individual body is wholesome, it has resilience. It may be exposed to diseases or other maladies, but it will fare better than one that is lacking in wholesomeness. To deny the reality of wholesomeness is to deny suffering, which is ignorance.

The more brahmanic cultivation there is for an individual, a society, and a planet the more wholesomeness there is. Or one can turn it around and also say that the more wholesome an individual, society, and planet are the more brahmanic cultivation there is. It is essentially the same, although with brahmanic cultivation we refer to a specific process of development that takes place, a process that involves the individual, the society, and even the entire planet.

Breaking this down further, just as a wholesome society is comprised of brahmanically cultivated individuals, so wholesome individuals exist in brahmanically cultivated societies.
