If someone had offered me a quarter million dollars, which is what this amounts to for some of the recipients, years ago when I was struggling to get through college and had to drop out due to being homeless, I would have welcomed the chance.
So now they are in the business of rewarding some and letting others be crushed based on what?
All this does is highlight what a joke the U.S. is and further delegitimizes the entire system of higher education.
