Upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04 “Focal” – following official documentation

It’s sad to see so many websites that basically just rip off the information from Ubuntu’s website to make their own posts about upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04 (codenamed “Focal”), as if they have something important or unique to add, which they don’t. I think they’re just grubbing for money. Another page for ad revenue. I think monetizing the Internet is a disaster and look at all this shit it has unleashed over the past 20 years.

It can be said to be an unmitigated disaster in so many ways. Sadly, many people actually don’t know the ways because they’re just accustomed to the Internet being a vast conniving slough of shit to wallow through. I really hope politicians understand this well when the army of lobbyists from these evil fuck companies lobby them for more and more imported workers.

There should be two Internets: one for evil fucks who want to monetize everything and have ads, and one for those of us who want freedom. The sick one should be prevented from defiling the healthy one. And people need to start creating more and using more non-defiled operating systems and applications. The future of the world depends upon it. Ubuntu is just one example of how this can be done.

Anyhow, getting back to the topic, the latest long-term-support release of Ubuntu named “Focal” and version number 20.04 has been announced and to perform an upgrade you can follow the information in the official Ubuntu 20.04 Focal release notes.

I could be like the other sites and copy and paste the upgrade code here to score points but I will not. Visit Ubuntu’s website where you can read about it and get other important information.
