“Against Trump Administration Sending Illegal Migrants to San Francisco”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wednesday, April 17, 2019

Dear Friends of the Media and San Franciscans,

My name is Ellen Lee Zhou. I am the 2019 Republican candidate for mayor of San Francisco. Recently, the Washington Post reported that President Trump is planning to send detained migrants to San Francisco and other “sanctuary cities.” Our campaign committee strongly opposes these plans. We believe that:

“Sanctuary City” policies are a violation of federal constitutional law. It follows that the federal government has the authority to prevent and rectify such policies that undermine federal immigration laws. Sanctuary city policies economically incentivize migrants to illegally enter the United States. This story is an unfounded smear of President Trump and his administration. It is common knowledge that the liberal media establishment loathes and publishes stories that vilify President Trump.

Our campaign supporters are prepared to retake the mayor’s office in this year’s upcoming election because, among other reasons, many San Franciscans do not want migrants endangering their neighborhoods. We have enough social problems already! No need to have more illegal activities that abusing our tax dollars!

We, therefore, oppose any plans to send detained migrants to San Francisco. We also oppose the current San Francisco City leadership, which perpetuates sanctuary city policies and the general mismanagement of San Francisco. Please lend us your support as we petition the Trump Administration not to send detained migrants to the city of San Francisco!
