Group Speed Dial
Note: This is THE speed dial extension to get. Forget FVD Speed Dial, this one is the best! It even allows you to import your dials from FVD Speed Dial!
Group Speed Dial a.k.a. visual bookmarks – lets you access your favorite pages anywhere / anytime in an organized fashion – using groups / folders in the “New Tab” page.

I don’t care about cookies
Remove annoying cookie warnings from almost all ‘infected’ websites!

The EU regulations require that any website using cookies must get user’s permission before installing them. Imagine how irritating that becomes when you surf anonymously or if you delete cookies automatically every time you close the browser.

ImprovedTube
Note: Not sure of the status of this. Appears to now be missing from Chrome store.
ImprovedTube is a Chrome extension that modifies YouTube to give users more control over all aspects of the site. With ImprovedTube, you can automate if annotations are hidden by default, if playlists auto play, what video quality is used by default and many other options.

LastPass: Free Password Manager
Note: Am in the process of what seems to be a slow phase-out of LastPass. There has been a persistent issue with the Firefox addon for both the desktop and Android versions. It appears to potentially be resolved now, but took the company literally at least half a year to address. Now that browsers feature robust password and form-fill features of their own it seems like a good time to begin migrating. That said, because I have so many passwords invested in LastPass, I’m still keeping it around.
LastPass, an award-winning password manager, saves your passwords and gives you secure access from every computer and mobile device.

List Opened Tabs
“List Opened Tabs” is a Google Chrome extension that can let you list, search, rearrange, close tabs and switch to another tab.
It’s very useful if you opened a lot of tabs in a window.

Recently Closed Tabs
This small extension provides you with a simple way to reopen some web pages you closed before. Furthermore you are able to configure options and hence influence the way recently closed tabs show in the popup, or even filter out pages you don’t want to reopen (annoying popups etc.).

ScrollAnywhere
Note: If you use a pointing stick/trackpoint you have to get this extension! This extension enables you to pan with the mouse similar to the hand tool in Adobe Acrobat and other programs. Make sure you select the “Grab and Drag” option in the settings to enable this.
Scroll Anywhere enables you to drag scrollbar with your middle (or right) mouse button without touching a scrollbar.
Just hold the middle button and move mouse up-down or left-right.
You can also change the behavior to simple “grab and drag” style.
Supports also Momentum – ability to throw the page (like on your phone) – including infinite scrolling option.
Now with the option to change the cursor while scrolling!

Self Destroying Cookies
Note: Am using this extension now after having potential issues with Cookie Autodelete.
This addons removes unwanted cookies from websites. Also the so called Third-Party-Cookies will be deleted. So Self Destroying Cookies protects you from tracking.

Stylus
Note: Use this instead of the similarly-named extension Stylish.
Redesign your favorite websites with Stylus, an actively developed and community driven userstyles manager. Easily install custom themes from popular online repositories, or create, edit, and manage your own personalized CSS stylesheets.

Tab Position Customizer 2
Customize tab opening position and closing behavior.

TinEye Reverse Image Search
TinEye is the first image search engine on the web to use image identification technology, instead of using keywords, metadata or watermarks. When you submit an image to be searched, TinEye creates a unique and compact digital signature or ‘fingerprint’ for it, then compares this fingerprint to every other image in our index to retrieve matches. TinEye does not typically find similar images; it finds exact matches including those that have been cropped, edited or resized.

uBlock Origin
Note: ESSENTIAL!
An efficient blocker: easy on memory and CPU footprint, and yet can load and enforce thousands more filters than other popular blockers out there.

uBlock Origin Extra
A companion extension to uBlock Origin: to gain ability to foil early hostile anti-user mechanisms working around content blockers.
This extension is useful only on a predetermined set of sites, it won’t do anything outside that specific set of sites.

Video DownloadHelper
Note: The Firefox version of the extension is so useful I purchased a license for it. I use it extensively with my online courses to download course videos.
The most complete Web video downloader ! The popular Video DownloadHelper Firefox extension is now available for Chrome.

YouTube High Definition
Note: I currently have this disabled since its functionality is covered in Enhancer for YouTube™ listed above.
This extension is a powerful tool that will let you
* automatically play all videos in HD
* turn off annotations
* change video player size
* automatically stop videos
* auto mute video sound
* have HD support for all other YouTube videos on other external sites.

Zoom Page WE
Note: I use this on Firefox and Chrome however there have been issues. Currently it has some issues with Chrome including page elements being off-screen and cursor elements being misaligned when using maps. What I like about it however is that you can set the zoom levels to whatever you like and set a default zoom level for pages. On sites where it misbehaves you’ll have to reset the zoom to 100%.
Zoom Page WE provides facilities to zoom a web page (either per-site or per-tab) using full-page zoom, text-only zoom and minimum font size. Automatic fit-to-width zoom can be applied instead of the default level.
