I detect another masterpiece!

The new season of jdramas has just begun and I’ve only just seen a couple but already there’s one which appears to be a masterpiece: Risk no Kamisama (God of Risk). Brilliant script. Brilliant acting. Excellent cinematography.

Will make another post later when I’ve had a chance to sample the rest of the new jdramas of the season.

By the way, for this drama I found it necessary to alter the subtitle .ass file to improve the fonts which are too tiny. To do this, open the file in a text editor such as Notepad+ and in the section [V4+ Styles] change the following:

Directly above the following line:

Style: small,century,15,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00000000,&H00000000,0,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,2,2,2,10,10,10,1

Insert this line:

Style: Default,Arial,26,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00000000,&H00000000,0,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,2,2,2,10,10,10,1

And then change the font size of the other two Style: lines so that they look like the following (changes marked in bold):

Style: small,century,20,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00000000,&H00000000,0,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,2,2,2,10,10,10,1
Style: Big,Century,28,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00000000,&H00000000,0,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,2,2,2,10,10,10,1

I don’t know what type of screen the subber set the font size for but on my laptop they are way too small.

Update: It appears that the font issues are fixed with Ep02.
