Coffee tech: Ginger coffee

My last post about coffee was how to make more gentle coffee by lowering the temperature of the water that is poured over the grounds.

Here is another way to make gentle coffee with an amazing, exotic taste that you will love: finely grate some fresh ginger (I like to keep it in a ziplock baggie in the freezer for optimum freshness) and place in the bottom of the container prior to the drip pourover.

A good amount is about 1 teaspoon or a heaping teaspoon per cup.

As the water drips through the grounds it will land on the ginger in the container and mix with it to form an exotic taste. After the drip pourover is finished filter the coffee through a strainer.
