Install Firefox extension AdNauseam to combat profiling, targeting, and surveillance

AdNauseam – Clicking Ads So You Don’t Have To from mushon on Vimeo.

What advertisers and other entities on the Internet who track users do is sickening. Even though there have attempts to have an above-the-board method by which people can legitimately opt-out of being tracked, those efforts have failed massively as greed and grubbiness take precedence over decency, integrity, and honesty.

Now there is a new browser extension available called AdNauseam which actually will click on every ad in every page one visits, all in the background without interrupting browsing. This completely obfuscates efforts to track, profile, target, and surveil.

Install AdNauseam now and fight back. After downloading the AdNauseam .xpi file to your computer, in Firefox go to Tools -> Add-ons. At the very top of the AddOn page to the left of the search box is a little drop-down gear icon. Click on that and select “Install Add-on From File…”, navigate to the .xpi file and click OK. It will immediately begin working with every page you visit and does not require a browser restart.
